General Information



Kütahya Dumlupınar University Faculty of Fine Arts considers art education as one of the indispensable elements of creating a modern society and economic development. From this point of view, the mission of our faculty is; In Turkish Art; from the perspective of the local aesthetics, it is possible to create new artistic products and new art theories with economic values ​​that create economic superiority in the universal line and gain the ability of visual literacy; use the knowledge and technology of the age together; who knows how to benefit from local and universal values; develop solutions to problems that exist or will exist in the field of design; to think critically, to strive to reveal its existence in national and international fields, to develop individuals who have an aesthetic sensitivity and are philosophically equipped.

In terms of vision, creating an education environment that can create works of art with different and original designs taking into account the values ​​in the world by taking action from the local level; to train individuals who are self-confident and can create future-oriented projects; to develop programs for the areas that our country needs in the field of design and art in the socio-cultural and economic sense; The aim is to provide the physical environment that follows the technology and can use it in the best way.

Our faculty; has close relations with similar educational institutions both in Turkey and abroad and continues its cooperation. Our faculty includes Visual Communication Design, Painting, Ceramics, Handicraft Design and Production, Cinema-Television and Animation. Students are not accepted to Handcraft Design and Production, Cinema and Television Departments yet.

As of 2020-2021 academic year, our faculty offers 1302 undergraduate and 84 graduate students to 42 full-time, part-time 8 academic staff and 17 administrative staff. In addition, there are 2 academic staff members of the faculty who are studying at other universities for their doctoral and master degree studies.
